Electronics Liquidation – How To Find A Source Online

Posted in Consumer Electronics by admin - Dec 10, 2009

Are you a reseller looking for an electronics liquidation company online? If you own a small business selling consumer electronics or you’re thinking about opening a new business selling electronics via ecommerce, then finding a liquidation source to buy in bulk is the best option for you. There are tons of sites offering items for resellers online. The first thing you have to consider is what type of electronics you want to look for to sell. Not all items sell so finding a truck load of electronics that is high in demand is a challenge, but the rewards are worth the effort. In order to figure what items are still high in demand is to take a look at the biggest online auction marketplace, Ebay, and click on the advance search option. Next, enter a keyword (the name of the electronics you want to sell) in the search box. For example, if I wanted to sell PS3 systems I would either enter “Playstation 3″ or “PS3″. Then Right below the search box under ’search including’ you need to make sure the box is checked for “completed listings” before you hit the search button. What you’re going to see are old auction listings of the item you’re planning to sell. Auction listings that are green means that people are still will to buy these products. Auction listings ending in red means that the demand for these items is low and you’ll have a harder time getting rid of your inventory. This strategy is a great way to figure what you really want to sell before spending hours on end looking for an electronics liquidation company online that won’t even carry the product you’re looking to sell. Once you’ve figured out which items you want to buy, you have to consider how many of them you can afford to buy. I’m not going to go into the theory of “the more you purchase, the bigger the discount”, but I want you to figure out how you can eliminate certain search results you don’t really care for in the search results page. There are many keywords you can type in the search engine box to find gems, just experiment with certain keywords and write down some sites you find interesting for further research later on. Once you find an electronics liquidation site you like make you read the bidding process for the truck load inventory. Also, you’ll start to notice that most of these electronics liquidation sites are much to look at. The website might not be the prettiest; the liquidators don’t really care about design. If the site is doing its job, why fix it? Be careful of liquidation sites that require you to pay a membership fee to view the listings. There should be no reason why you have to pay a liquidator to view what they are selling. It makes no business sense for them to that unless they are trying to scam you for your money. Hopefully this article got you thinking like a business man/women and that buying electronics from a liquidator is more than just the thought of buying something low and then reselling high. Do you homework while you still have you money before you take the plunge on a sale you might regret purchasing.

How to Find Electronic Parts

Posted in Consumer Electronics by admin - Oct 12, 2009

Since the circuit got etched on to an integrated circuit technology is galloping ahead. Every time you switch on the idiot box there is a new advertisement for a new product or technology that is guaranteed to make your life easier or more fun to live. You bought that spanking new gadget, but it is obsolete almost as soon as you bought it. And we all know what it is like when a technology that we rely on breaks, it can be the most frustrating thing in the world. Fixing your television today that you bought five years ago is quickly becoming more expensive than simply replacing it. Why? At the brass tacks level it is all about parts.

Technology advances because the parts that make it run are advancing even before the technology itself is. What this means is that the parts that make your television run now, are going to be obsolete in a year or two when a new television model hits the market. Do not think that parts are cheap. Sometimes old parts can be very expensive. You will also find that the time it takes to ‘get the part in’ will be much longer than the labor hours required as well. Because the nature of electronic parts is rendering them obsolete, surplus stores and obsolete electronic components businesses are cropping up by the dozen to compensate for this need for electronic parts that are difficult to find elsewhere.

Purchasing a new electronic part or component for your technology that may be considered obsolete has its advantages. Of course with new parts you can expect longer life and greater quality repairs. With those new components though you will often find higher costs and possibly more failure rates on your piece of equipment while your machine ‘breaks in’ the new electronic part.

But buyers and sellers of obsolete parts are managing to find a way to meet each other. These hard to find electronic parts stores exist solely to save you money and time when repairing your equipment. Key factors to look for when sourcing out these stores are the history and reputation of the business, availability of a warranty on the parts you are purchasing, customer support, and of course the price factor.

It can be reassuring to buyers that many component dealers offer a warranty on parts. This is because they derive their inventory from parts of previously working systems and can easily replace it for you within the one year timeframe. Suppliers are always in touch with dealers who exclusively offer obsolete parts. You will also find that these parts will work better than other parts as they are not often associated with failure rates if they have already come from a previously used system. If you are looking for electronic parts and want to save money doing so, it just takes a little research and leg work.
