I have two of these plasma Kuro Elites and they are awsome! I have fallen asleep with a movie in and NO burn in happened. I love Blue-ray movies and this tv is unsurpassed by any others. Including the new backlight LED. I just bought a sony bravia, good pic, but nothing like Pioneer. If you have a problem with the price then get smart and make deals with dealers. They are always willing to deal if you are serious and can put your money where your mouth is. I made an incredible deal with Best Buy! If you want the best, do your homework. These tvs have glass that has been hand picked by Pioneer. They’re heavy, but the quality is georgeous. Pioneer can’t make the best product, then give it away so,. they will not make them anymore. They wont compete with cheep. So grab them while you can. Consumers want inexpensive so pioneer will get out rather then make a below than perfect product.
so apparently they are getting out of the TV business. This is what my research found. And I believe it!

Pioneer is by far the best TV out there you are right. I have a 52 inch pioneer plasma and not a word of a lie when friendsï»¿ come over and a lot of them own LCD’s they freak at my picture quality on my pioneer. Only problem is the price. Pionner needs to come back on the market and lower their price.

The pioneer is the best TV out there Period. But the only thing is the price, if pioneer didn’t stop making TV’s and put the price down a bit they’d be back at the top. But Iï»¿ guess you gotta pay for the best.Overall EXCELLENT TV

Your wrong, tv’s today have a safety built in them for burn ins.ï»¿ I have a 52 inch pioneer plasma and I sometimes play up to 6 hours of video games in a day(I get bored). Pioneer has a good safety feature for burn ins, plus LCD will never be able to give the quality picture of a pioneer plasma.
