It look like great and perfect on your TomTom XL GPS on plane. I have it. I not use it on plane yet. Remember do not use swearing words on comments. Ok?
the GPS is not a transmitter.

GPS will work, no problem on planes. A lot of commercial planes are fitted with them to aid in navigation. They have good antennas, but it is essentially the same thing as a TomTom or Nuvi
Damnit, I tried mine on a flight from Ohio to Arizona and it wouldn’t work…

Cool I took my gps on a plane but thought i could not turn it on so i didnt try.. damn bit im going to fly to spain this summer i will try that will be pretty cool knowing were you will be.
To all of you getting the One XL, do not update the software on the device or the maps are gonna get lost, did it to mine last night and the maps are all gone, and a lot of people has the same problem. Contact TomTom before upgrading. If anyone knows how to fix this please contact me.
Thanks for the heads up! It’s actually still underneeth the xmas tree in the box untouched. I’ll be sure to wait a while before updating it on the computer.
