hey very helpfull video, I only have one problem, when I go to the web page you specify, I cannot seem to find the right cap. in your pdf you say a standard electrolityc cap will do but theres four kinds, so if you could specify which thatd be great.

You really don’t need to worry too much, so long as it has the right uF and same or higher voltage. Just get the smallest you can find.If you have an electronics store in your area that sells capacitors you could take your Game Gear in and have them sort it out for you.

soorry but this wont help me my sega game gear’s light bulb behind the screen is haf destroydand im not a wuss i tryied fixing it many times

  8. kainkusanagi says:

I’m always half joking when I say the “Wussy talk” thing. If something is so broken it needs parts from a working machine then it’s best to just replace it. Sometimes things break for good.

  9. Helmholtz82 says:

I’ve just replaced the capacitors, and now my GameGear works waaaaaaaaay better!!! Tyvm man!!!. Btw, there’s a reason for not to replace ALL the capcitors (f.e. the other 4 on the sound pcb)?… are they of better quality, or aren’t used as much as the replaced ones?

  10. kainkusanagi says:

Replacing the others is only necessary if after replacing the main one the sound is still bad.
